The AS608 Biometric Fingerprint Sensor Module is a compact optical fingerprint recognition device designed for secure authentication systems. It features an onboard DSP processor that performs fingerprint image capture, feature extraction, template storage, and matching directly inside the module. This reduces the processing load on external microcontrollers.
With support for 1:1 verification and 1:N identification, the module is ideal for projects such as biometric door locks, attendance systems, access control devices, and embedded security platforms. It communicates via UART (TTL) or USB, making it easy to integrate with development platforms like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontrollers.
